Check out this oil painting of what you, the passenger, would see when sitting near the back, which in my opinion, is the best spot to be to catch a nice big blast of audible jet power from the engines.
This is just a simple painting which represents our view from within the aircraft, just gazing at the outside world whizzing by as speed increases, and then said world eventually disappears below the clouds and then you're presented with nothing but a darker shade of blue above and a layer of clouds below, with the occasional moment inside some high altitude clouds, that is unless you've taken a night flight.
Painting this was quite easy, except the water drops that are trailing across the window, but even those were easy compared to some of my paintings I've done. This painting was done using the wet on wet technique.
