Check out this oil painting of the A380, my first official realistic oil painting ever done, the first one that was highly technical, and the first one that had a lot of very particular details and straight lines, it was quite a bit of work to get it right and get everything correct and exactly where it should be.
Sadly, for those that absolutely enjoyed riding the A380, and to the pilots that got the chance to operate this massive machine, the A380 has more or less come to an end. Airbus recently finished production of this masterpiece, and things on the production line wrapped up with Emirates taking the very last aircraft, Airbus' 251st unit, and Emirates' 123rd.
The A380 is still flying the skies with a few airlines still operating the giant, but unfortunately the numbers were not in favour of the 380, and to add more insult to the injury, the pandemic came along and sealed the fate of this wonderful aircraft, as much MUCH less passengers would travel in the pandemic.
This is why I painted it, this aircraft is the pinnacle of engineering, which gave the Airbus engineers endless challenges, it's the first double decker aircraft to take flight and carry paying passengers, and took the spot for being the largest passenger aircraft. Eventually the A380 will cease to exist (sadly), but now that I've put it on canvas, it can carry on as a painting (and of course in many other ways too).
